                                          Dental Assistant

Duties and responsibilities:

Dental assistants assist the dental operator (dentist or other treating dental auxiliary) in providing more efficient dental treatment, by preparing the patient for treatment, sterilizing instruments, passing instruments during the procedure, holding suction devices, exposing dental radio graphs, taking impressions, and fabricating provisional crowns. Dental operators can focus more time on the procedure; the dental assistant then effectively becomes the operator's extra hands.

Dental assistants should be distinguished from dental hygienists, who usually have a higher level of training and expertise.[citation needed]

Education:

In some states, dental assistants can work in the field without a college degree, while in other states, dental assistants must be licensed or registered.
Dental assistants are required to meet the minimum certification to work in the field. There are many things that dental assistants must consider while working in the field and arguably the most important is infection control.[citation needed]

Salary:

Dental assistants do not earn the same amount of money as a dentist because there job is just a healthcare support occupation. The medium salary for Dentist assistants is 33,470 U.S.D. a year. By the hour they make $16.09.
However the salary for dentist assistants is different in different states. The lowest payment for dentist assistants is in West Virginia witch is 18,490 U.S.D. annually. The highest is in San Francisco witch is 59,370 annually.

Reflection:

Being a dentist assistant isn't the type of job i would like to have. The payment is way to low even in the top paying state California its 59,370 U.S.D. I'm  looking more for a job with a better payment and something id enjoy doing. No wait not a job a carrier that would have to be something that deals either with tech or football.
